Our Tiki 26, 'Scat', is a James Wharram-designed, Polynesian-inspired catamaran
measuring 26ft in length and 15ft beam. The stable double-hulled design of the catamaran gives the Tiki 26
twice the deckspace of a monohull, plus the added advantage of shallow draft, which means that 'Scat' is easily
beached, allowing you to step off in knee deep water to explore areas that would be inaccessible to deep draft vessels.
She can easily and comfortably carry six passengers. The spacious cockpit and trampolines give everyone plenty of space
to stretch out and enjoy the scenery. This combination of accessibility, space and stability makes 'Scat' the perfect
craft for exploring Jersey's offshore reefs, towers and marine life.

The simple 'boomless' sail plan and roller reefing foresail are easily and
safely managed and of course there is no risk of being hit on the head by a boom! This rig has proven itself
to be highly efficient and is capable of driving 'Scat' at speeds of up to 14 knots during modest
winds. In 2004 and 2005 'Scat' won the St Helier to Granville race, averaging
9 knots on both occasions.
'Scat' is unsinkable with buoyancy chambers in the bow and stern of each hull. The width of the boat
combined with low aspect rig and low windage makes the Tiki 26 a very safe and stable craft. This design has crossed
oceans and survived hurricanes. 'Scat' is equipped with life jackets, flares, life buoys, fixed dsc and hand held vhf
radios, GPS, electronic chart plotter and depth sounder. For additional safety a 3.1 metre inflatable dinghy is
carried inflated on the front trampoline.
