The Towers are situated approximately 1 mile from La Rocque Harbour on Jersey's South East Corner.  Seymour Tower  was built in 1782, a year after the Battle of Jersey when invading French troops landed at La Rocque.  Seymour was the only square coastal defence tower built, the Round and Martello towers were thought to be stronger.  Icho Tower is a  Martello Tower which was built from huge granite blocks in 1810, the walls of the Tower are about 2 metres thick.

See these historic offshore towers close up and spend your time relaxing or exploring the bird and sealife of the surrounding areas.

Icho Tower is only accessible by foot on the lowest tides and then only for a couple of hours around low water.  The rest of the time Icho is surrounded by water and only accessible by boat, the only visitors being the seabirds and occasionally seals or bottlenose dolphins that reside in the area all year round.

Seymour Tower is accessible on foot at low water on all but the smallest tides but like Icho Tower you will find yourself cut off by the tide.
